A crew of 20 paddlers, a drummer/manager and steerperson/coach (provided
by the festival) race over a 500-metre race course.
Over the event day each team will have 2
timed heats (weather permitting). Practices will be held prior to the
festival.
Dragon Boat racing is an extremely user friendly sport and anyone, young or old, at any fitness level can quickly
adapt to, and develop a passion for the sport. Technique and synchronicity are the key elements to a successful
dragon boat team.
