Race Schedule Copies of the Race Schedule will be available to team captains approximately one week before the event.
Race Dates The Chicago Dragon Boat Festival races will take place on: Saturday September 16, 2000
Race Location All Dragon Boat races will be held at Chinatown Park, Chicago IL

The International Dragon Boat Race Festival 
will take place in Germany, this year - 2000.  

There are many Dragon Boat teams across Europe 
that compete on a local, national or international level.

Race Format

The Chicago Dragon Boat Festival race course is 500 meters  long.

There will be 3 dragon boats racing in each heat. Each heat will last between 2 minutes to 2 minutes and 50 seconds.

The course is 500 meters long.
The race start line will be announced.
The race finish line will be 500 metres downstream.

To ensure maximum team safety additional Steerperson Training is required for all steerpeople. The Dragon Boats are heavy and long. Special training is given to maximize the efforts given by all teams.
